Nestled in the Red Pines, this cozy cottage is our newest way to offer you a great vacation experience. The cottage was built in the late 30's and was the original bar of Pinehurst Resort. It transformed into a two bedroom cottage through the years. Recently, after being purchased by a group of investors, the cottage was rehabilitated to offer new amenities and decor while harmonizing with the original 1930's structures. The new Pergo flooring, furniture, bathroom, and kitchen will ensure you enjoy the indoor setting in between your recreation in the great North woods of Wisconsin. The three season porch offers a great way to wake up or retire for the evening. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a cocktail while overlooking the lake.
Northern Comfort is one of 11 cottages located in Pinehurst Resort. The resort cottages are mostly owned by people like yourself looking to enjoy a peaceful setting in a North Woods environment. Four of the cottages are currently rented to guests. Pinehurst offers a beautiful sandy beach area at the waterfront, private pier space, a swim raft, campfire pit, and a playground area for the kids. To keep the peaceful harmony of the resort in tact, association rules prohibit pets and wave runners on site.  One of the most desirable features of this resort is it’s proximity to the village of St. Germain. While keeping a remote quiet setting, you would hardly know that it’s just a ½ mile walk to the village, and an easy bike ride to our new paved Bike and Hike Trail. Built in 2006 , this new trail was just added to the new Vilas County Bike and Hike Trail System linking the three communities of Sayner, St. Germain, and Boulder Junction. Should you desire, this new trail offers you 28 miles of paved trail virtually from your door step.
Little St. Germain Lake is 4 ½ miles long and offers 15 miles of shoreline. It consists of five separate bays, all accessible by boat. Northern Comfort is located on the Northwest shore of West Bay, by far one of the premium locations on this lake. West Bay is known for it’s spring fed water and good water clarity. The lake has an abundant population of bass, crappie, bluegill, and northern pike plus it has a healthy population of musky, perch, and walleye. Pontoon boat, bass boat, and outboard motor rentals are all available through your manager at Hiller’s Pine Haven.
